The former Telecom Minister Raja welcomed his 48th birth day inside one the 12 x 15 feet cells in the Tihar Jail. He was send to jail because he had a direct connection with the 2G scam and the court “reward” him with 83 days in prison.
In the early morning of his special day Raja began with some exercises. Then after the general head count he joined the one hour long “pranayam” which is translated for the inmates inside the prison. Jail officials reported that the breakfast of the former Telecom Minister included two large pieces of Indian bread a cup of tea and a big plate of curry. After it the “Minister” got dressed in his white shirt and a deep blue trouser and board the van which took him to the court of Patiala.
Eyewitness tell that Raja had a conversation with DMK and others who were accused in the 2G case. Even though that he was the birthday boy none of his inmates knew on that they that the former powerful leader of DMK had a birthday.
