The tallest buildings in India:
The classification of the buildings according their hight divides them in 3 main categories- low rise, mid-rise and high-rise. Big part of these modern, concrete and glass monsters are in the commercial capital of India – Mumbai. There are located the highest buildings in India- the Imperial Towers. Their hight is 249 metres each. The towers are the first skyscrapers in India according to international standards. There used to be a slum on the place where the skyscrapers are today. The dwellers of the slum were compensated with free lands and they were also rehabilitated. In exchange of all that the investor received the rights to build. The properties in the towers are selling out very fast living areas. The towers have 60 floors.
The second highest in India is the Lodha Bellissimo. It has 48 floors and it is 197 meters high. It is also residential skyscraper.
The third is the Tower Godrej – it has 51 floors and it is 181 meters high. This building has a special award called Pinnacle.
So as we can see the development of India is not stopped but constantly rising and we have to expect more of these skyscrapers to be build.
